[log] pleased to meet you
It isn't easy, planning around Argine's health. Now and then, after all, she simply can't keep an appointment, simply needs to stop and sit, simply stops being a Ten and a mother and becomes a woman struggling against her own mortality. There's a good deal of hoping when it comes to setting dinner dates. A good deal of hoping in general.
But tonight was going to go well. The date had been set a week in advance, and was going to stick. The former Queen has been resting all day, her former Ace hovering and attending with nervous energy. The kitchens had been more than happy to pull together an early meal for three, to drag a table up to Argine's quarters and find a comfortable chair for the woman to rest easy in during an extended conversation. Everything is falling into place. Eileen should be ecstatic.
Is, in some ways. And is also starting to get ridiculously nervous, the way a young person gets when introducing their significant other to their only living parent.
So as the hour draws near, Eileen worries. Frets. Helps her mother pull herself properly into the semblance of the regal woman she used to be and get her settled in at the table. Argine's tsk is soft as she smooths her daughter's cheek, tells her to run along and get ready, not worry so much about an old woman.
She barely sees herself in the mirror as she throws on a bit of makeup, runs her hands through her hair ineffectually and calculates that she doesn't actually have enough time to change out of her usual fare.
Goes to loiter nervously at the door and wait for CJ to arrive. Maybe stealing a kiss before bringing him in will soothe her jangling.

Her fingers move lazily in his hair, combing gently as her heart rate manages to drop back toward something reasonable. For just half a second, her teeth come down on the inside of her cheek.
"Can... you stay? Even... even just for a little while?"
It would be good to have their own place, someday. For one of them not to have to slip away before parents woke up in the morning.

He moans softly, a rolling almost purr in the back of his throat as he cups her shoulders and stays still, inside her and having no plans to move again ever at this point in time. "I'm sleepy... and you feel so good. Can we just sleep like this?" His eyes are closing and he's smiling to himself.
Yeah, the idea of climbing back down the tree now seems impossible. He'd fall sooner than make it down alive. It will happen, sometime soon, their independence.

"Feel like... we might have to move just... a little, CJ. Wouldn't want..." What the elegant way to put it? "...t' pull anything while... we're sleeping, nn?"
Naked cuddles they can absolutely do. Naked cuddles with him still sheathed up and buried in deep? Probably not the best idea they've ever had.

"I'll get rid of it, nn?" It was easily hidden under tissues in the bathroom garbage. And it would probably be good to rinse off just a bit.

"I'll be here, waiting for you, baby." he whispered to her in the dark, naked and cool, and missing her already.

And she can be. It only takes a few seconds to slip over to the bathroom, toss the condom. Another few seconds to run some warm water, rinse and dry off. Might be a minute to brush her teeth, but she can't help the compulsion.
But then she's back, slipping over to tug the quilt off the end of the bed and toss it over her boyfriend before sliding in next to him. "Survive okay without me?"

He half rolls and reaches for her arm, to pull her in with him under the covers, half laying over her as he rests his cheek against her chest and hugs at her waist, pulling her close, murmuring "No, it was terrible. I'm cold."
He sighs sweetly, getting comfortable s he murmurs sleepily "Miss'dya." yawning while he cuddles close and murmurs unintelligibly. "luvyou"

"Go back to sleep," she tsks softly, fingers of one hand tracing absent little circles at the base of his spine. "Got you."
And never, ever letting go.

But not before he whispers "Wake me up, so I can leave before the morning. Juz a nap..." as he shivers closer when her fingers tickle his back. And then he's gone, breathing against her, dead to all the world except her.
(( OOC: Good here? ))
