"I think that might relieve Elisha," Zoë says lightly. She and the King of Clubs haven't always gotten along - Elisha's relationship with Hadyn is too tumultuous for that - but he's Victor's best friend, which means she was party to some pacing when Eileen had first decided on her challenge.
Not that Elisha had mentioned why - but it clicked later.
"Besides, you're so good at it." She pushes back her hair and grins. "And there's nothing so much fun as destroying an uppity middle card with the game of kings." Not that she'd know or anything.
He acknowledges this I think. It's probably what keeps his sense of humor.
